There are officially five tourism industry business associations:
- Egyptian Hotels Association (EHA)
- Egyptian Travel Agents Association (ETAA)
- Egyptian Chamber of Tourist Establishments (ECTE)
- Egyptian Chamber of Tourist Commodities (ECTC)
- Egyptian Chamber of Diving and Water Sports (CDWS).
The associations are formed by members of the same trade or business who all have the same common interest – to advance the tourism industry. Such progression comprises publishing a trade journal, carrying out market surveys, promoting joint advertising, developing common accounting practices, exchanging technical information, pursuing common labor relations and representing business interests before legislative bodies. Each association has its own General Assembly. As of 2005, the number of representatives is as follows:

Each association also has their own Board of Directors and an administration team managed by a Secretary General.
The Egyptian Tourism Federation is a union of elected industry members from the five affiliate associations. Together they form the ETF General Assembly consisting of 100 representatives:
