| Quality Strategy |
|
To apply the concepts of total quality management for all tourist product components, the ETF strategy emphasizes the importance of partnership between the government, the tourism industry and non-governmental organizations.
It is considered that each technical committee functions as quality circles within the framework of the tourism sector. A quality unit could also be established to include a number of experts in quality management assigned to undertake the responsibility of studying and responding to questions related to quality application with all technical committees. The mission statement crystallizes the ETF values, aspirations, and economic interests.
- Customer satisfaction is achieved through the provision of quality tourist products
- Total quality achieves integration and coordination among entire components of the tourist product
- Quality in the provision of all tourist services is a principal factor for leadership and superiority in tourism business.
The functions of the Quality Unit could be formalized in the following actions:
- Establishing standards needed for world class services
- Reporting defects
- Making quality plans and measurement techniques
- Holding quality meetings
- Setting quality targets
- Taking measures to minimize defects and complaints
