The Environmental Affairs Committee is responsible for this area. Pollution surveys have to be carried out to identify pollution and to develop programs which could minimize sources of pollution. The committee also:

• Encourages environment friendly projects and products in existing and future tourist destinations such as national parks and ecological establishments
• Cooperates with environmental authorities and tourism development association to expand recycling activities and disposal of waste within accommodation entry
• Encourages tourism enterprises to use renewable resources of energy and to reduce water use
